Hyptotrichosis is the medical term for inadequate or thinning eyelashes. Latisse is the ONLY product of its kind, available by prescription exclusively through a physicians office.

HOW DO I USE LATISSE?

Latisse is applied topically, at night, to the base of your upper eyelashes. If you wear eyeliner you are familiar with the base of your lashes. Apply Latisse as you would eyeliner, in one smooth stroke across the base of your eyelid.

During your consultation, you will receive precise instructions, and be shown exactly how to use the brushes that come in the package. It is very important that you use ONLY the brushes that come with your kit and do not exceed the recommended dosage.

The results are gradual but dramatic, be patient…it’s worth it!

You will typically see more length and darkening in as little as 3- 4 weeks and should achieve full growth in about 4 months. This is not the ‘illusion of growth’, it is real, ACTUAL growth… YOUR OWN BEAUTIFUL, LUSH EYELASHES!!!

WHAT IS THE COST?

Initially, it is recommended that you apply Latisse once daily for 2 months. If you feel you have reached your desired outcome, you may then choose to switch to a ‘maintenance dosage’ which does not require a daily application, therefore the cost drops significantly.

HOW DOES LATISSE WORK?

Latisse makes eyelash growth possible because of it’s active ingredient ‘Bimatoprost’.
Bimatoprost affects the growth or ‘anagen’ phase of the eyelash hair cycle in 2 specific ways:

• First – it increases the length of life of the growth phase.
• Second – increases the number of hairs in this phase.

THE HISTORY OF LATISSE:

Latisse was created in 2001 by Allergan, the same company that brought us Botox. At that time it was being used as a medicated eye drop prescribed for the treatment of glaucoma (elevated intraocular eye pressure). Patients using this medication noticed an interesting side effect – while using the medication their eyelashes grew longer, thicker and darker.
This prompted Allergan to study the medication’s active ingredient, Bimatropost specifically for growing eyelashes. After a clinical trial, Latisse was approved by both Health Canada and the FDA.

Don’t be fooled by products that claim to ‘condition your lashes’ or create the ‘ILLUSION’ of longer, darker more lush LOOKING eyelashes. They are ALL cash grabs, a waste of time and money.
FORGET the weaves and extensions as they break, weaken and cause damage to the eyelash follicle. Once the follicles are damaged the lashes will NEVER grow back.
